The beginning of the end

I am now 38 weeks pregnant and ready for this to be over. The recent heat wave here in Virginia has completely sapped my energy. It has been close to or above 100 degrees here for the past several days. On top of the heat you have the oppressive Virginia humidity. Anyone who has been to or lived in Virginia during July and August knows what I'm talking about. I went to the Dr. today for my weekly checkup. I am 1 cm dialated. YEAH!!!!! Only 9 cm to go. I heard the baby's heartbeat again. It has been consistently 140 beats per minute although today it was only 138. Maybe Seanna was asleep. I've gained a total of 14 pounds. I started out at 156 and now I'm at 170. After the Doc clears me after I've had the baby I need to start running again. I want to get back down to at least 135 or 140 lbs. I think that I can do that pretty easy. I can't wait for this little one ot be born. I am so tired of not being comfy at night and the heartburn and trying to find a good sleeping position. I'm tired of bending over being a challenge. I want to be able to play with Maddie and Alana without being tired. The Dr. said if I don't go into labor by the 16th or 17th that he might induce me. Therefore I could potentially have my little one in my arms in as little as 15 days. I'll keep you posted.
